Virginia Athletics recognizes there are many unknowns surrounding the 2020 football season. This page will serve as a resource to fans and will be continually updated with the most current information available.

Capacity

What are the current capacity guidelines at Scott Stadium?
As a result of the Executive Order issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia on November 13, attendance at Scott Stadium for the November 21 game against Abilene Christian will be limited to 250 fans. We anticipate these guidelines will also be in place for the final regular season home game against Boston College on December 5.

Due to health and safety considerations in addition to the current guidelines for sports venues, attendance at UVA home competitions will be limited to family of student-athletes and the coaching staff. Should the Commonwealth of Virginia adjust the protocols for spectator attendance, the UVA athletics department will announce new capacity guidelines and other protocols to attend events.

When will capacity decisions be made and how will those be communicated?
If capacity guidelines established by state, local and university officials enable fans to attend future games, Virginia Athletics will communicate the change to season ticket holders via email and to the public through a press release to media outlets. Information will also be posted to VirginiaSports.com and to the social media accounts of Virginia Football and Virginia Athletics.

Season Ticket Holders

What do these changes mean for season tickets?
Season tickets and parking will not be distributed for the 2020 season.

Does this mean the Fans First program has been implemented for season ticket holders?
Yes. The value of season ticket and parking purchases for the six-game home season will fall under the Fans First Ticket Program. We kindly ask season ticket holders to consider donating the value of their purchase to one of the funds that provide support to UVA student-athletes.

The Virginia Football program relies heavily on revenue generated from tickets and parking to fund operations that support the football student-athletes. By selecting the donation option, season ticket holders will be helping many aspects of the program, including academic support, strength and conditioning, sports medicine and sports nutrition.

We ask season ticket holders to make their Fans First selection by Monday, December 7. For those season ticket holders who do not respond, the value of tickets, chairbacks and parking will be assigned as a credit to their 2021 season ticket purchase.

Will I have the opportunity to upgrade/relocate my season tickets/parking this season?
No, due to the uncertainty surrounding the upcoming season, we will not be running the online seat/parking improvement/relocation process this year.

Will I be able to renew my same seats/parking for the 2021 season?
2020 season ticket holders who maintain the appropriate Virginia Athletics Foundation pledge/payment will be able to renew the same seats/parking for the 2021 season.

Gameday At Scott Stadium

How will tickets be delivered?
All tickets will be delivered in a digital format. For more information on digital ticketing, click here.

Will masks be required?
Yes, per University guidelines, masks are required to be worn at all times inside Scott Stadium.

Parking

How will parking work?
Under the current capacity guidelines, parking in all lots adjacent to Scott Stadium will be closed on game days. All parking lots will be subject to guidelines established by local, state, and university health officials.

Tailgating is not permitted anywhere on Grounds.

Student Ticketing

How will UVA student attendance be handled?
As a result of the Executive Order issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia on November 13 which reduced capacity to 250 fans, student tickets will not be available for the November 21 game versus Abilene Christian. We anticipate these guidelines will also be in place for the final regular season home game against Boston College on December 5.

Away Games

Will away game tickets still be available for sale?
No, due to reduced capacities at other venues and ACC guidelines, we will not have tickets available for purchase to any away games.

I purchased tickets for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game, will those be refunded?
Fans who purchased tickets for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game through the Virginia Athletics Ticket office received communication in early August regarding their refund options. Please contact the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office if you have questions regarding your Chick-fil-A Kickoff tickets.
