2020 Football Updated Ticket Information
Virginia Athletics recognizes there are many unknowns surrounding the 2020 football season. This page will serve as a resource to fans and will be continually updated with the most current information available.
What are the current capacity guidelines at Scott Stadium?
The current capacity guidelines for sports venues provided by the Commonwealth of Virginia under Phase Three of the “Forward Virginia” plan (announced November 13) allow for the lesser of 30% occupancy of the facility or 250 patrons.
Due to health and safety considerations in addition to the current guidelines for sports venues, attendance at Scott Stadium will be limited to family of student-athletes and the coaching staff until further notice, including the game against Abilene Christian on Saturday, Nov. 21. We anticipate these guidelines will also be in place for the final regular season home game against Boston College on Dec. 5.
When will capacity decisions be made and how will those be communicated?
If capacity guidelines established by state, local and university officials enable fans to attend future games, Virginia Athletics will communicate the change to season ticket holders via email and to the public through a press release to media outlets. Information will also be posted to VirginiaSports.com and to the social media accounts of Virginia Football and Virginia Athletics.
Season Ticket Holders
What do these changes mean for season tickets?
Season tickets and parking will not be distributed for the 2020 season.
Does this mean the Fans First program has been implemented for season ticket holders?
Yes. The value of season ticket and parking purchases for the six-game home season will fall under the Fans First Ticket Program. We kindly ask season ticket holders to consider donating the value of their purchase to one of the funds that provide support to UVA student-athletes.
The Virginia Football program relies heavily on revenue generated from tickets and parking to fund operations that support the football student-athletes. By selecting the donation option, season ticket holders will be helping many aspects of the program, including academic support, strength and conditioning, sports medicine and sports nutrition.
We ask season ticket holders to make their Fans First selection by Monday, December 7. For those season ticket holders who do not respond, the value of tickets, chairbacks and parking will be assigned as a credit to their 2021 season ticket purchase.
Will I have the opportunity to upgrade/relocate my season tickets/parking this season?
No, due to the uncertainty surrounding the upcoming season, we will not be running the online seat/parking improvement/relocation process this year.
Will I be able to renew my same seats/parking for the 2021 season?
2020 season ticket holders who maintain the appropriate Virginia Athletics Foundation pledge/payment will be able to renew the same seats/parking for the 2021 season.
Gameday At Scott Stadium
How will tickets be delivered?

Will masks be required?
Yes, per University guidelines, masks are required to be worn at all times inside Scott Stadium.
How will parking work?
Under the current capacity guidelines, parking in all lots adjacent to Scott Stadium will be closed on game days. All parking lots will be subject to guidelines established by local, state, and university health officials.
Tailgating is not permitted anywhere on Grounds.
How will UVA student attendance be handled?
As a result of the new capacity guidelines for sports venues under Phase Three of the Forward Virginia plan issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia (effective as of November 15), attendance at Scott Stadium for Saturday’s home game against Abilene Christian will be limited to family members of student-athletes and the coaching staff. We anticipate these guidelines will also be in place for the final regular season home game against Boston College on Dec. 5.
Will away game tickets still be available for sale?
No, due to reduced capacities at other venues and ACC guidelines, we will not have tickets available for purchase to any away games.
I purchased tickets for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game, will those be refunded?
Fans who purchased tickets for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game through the Virginia Athletics Ticket office received communication in early August regarding their refund options. Please contact the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office if you have questions regarding your Chick-fil-A Kickoff tickets.
