CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Virginia midfielder Lori Lindsey (Indianapolis, Ind./ Pike) was selected to the 2000 All-America team as chosen by the National Collegiate Soccer Coaches Association of America. She is the first Virginia player to earn All-America honors since Angela Hucles was a second team selection in 1998.

Lindsey, a third-year and the 2000 ACC Player of the Year, made the NSCAA’s third team. She led the Cavaliers in points and goals this season with 21 and nine, respectively. Lindsey also served as one of the team’s two captains.

In addition to being named third team All-America, Lindsey was a first team NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Selection, and was named first team all state by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.
