MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Virginia’s Jennifer Owens led unranked Virginia to asixth-place finish, defeating seven teams ranked in the top-25, as theCavaliers competed in the Roy Griak Invitational today in Minneapolis. Owensfinished fifth in 20:49.4 over the 6K course. Virginia’s Sarah Folse alsofinished in the top 25, taking 25th in a time of 21:33.6. The women’s teamdefeated seventh-ranked Washington by two points and ninth-ranked Marquetteby 88 points. The Hoos also finished ahead of five other teams ranked in thetop 17 in a field of 32 total teams.

The men’s team finished 22nd out of 36 teams with a score of 466. WaltonKingsberry was the top finisher for the men, taking 47th in a time of 24:57.2
