CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va – The tip-off time for next weekend’s clash between Virginia and N.C. State in women’s basketball at University Hall has been changed, school officials announced on Thursday.

Virginia will host North Carolina State on Sunday, Feb. 3 at Noon. The game will be televised live by Fox Sports Net South and the Sunshine Network. Fox adjusted its schedule for all Sunday basketball games in order to accommodate the Super Bowl, originally scheduled for Jan. 27.

N.C. State at Virginia, Noon (women’s basketball)

Arkansas at Alabama, 2 p.m. (women’s basketball)

N.C. State at Maryland, 4 p.m. (men’s basketball)

On Feb. 3, Virginia will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Co-sponsored by the University of Virginia Athletic Department and the University of Virginia Women’s Center, this year’s theme is Front Runners and Champions. During a halftime ceremony, the 1981 and 1982 Virginia cross country teams will be honored. The squads captured back-to-back NCAA titles, including the NCAA’s inaugural crown in 1981.

The Cavalier women’s basketball team (11-8, 4-4) travels to North Carolina on Sunday, Jan. 27 for a 2 p.m. at Carmichael Auditorium. Charlottesville’s WINA Radio (1070 AM) will broadcast the game live.
