The University of Virginia women’s cross country team finished 20th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships held today in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Cavaliers were led by Jane Maxwell, who finished the 6K course in 21:02.6 and finished 75th overall. All seven Cavaliers finished within 67 seconds of each other, led by Maxwell. The Cavaliers totalled 510 points, just ahead of ACC-rival UNC, who had 517. BYU won the event followed by Stanford. This is the second consecutive year that the ‘Hoos have finished in the top-20 at the national meet.
