Greensboro, N.C. – The Virginia men’s lacrosse team faces North Carolina at 6:00 p.m. in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament Friday (April 19) at Koskinen Stadium on the campus of Duke University.

The Cavaliers finished with a 3-0 record in league play and clinched the ACC regular season title with a 15-10 win over Duke last Saturday in Charlottesville.

Virginia is 8-1 overall this season, while North Carolina is 7-3. The Cavaliers defeated the Tar Heels 10-9 nine days ago in Chapel Hill.

Duke, Maryland and North Carolina all finished with 1-2 records in ACC play and had their seed determined via a blind draw at the ACC office this morning. Maryland drew the second seed, Duke the third seed and North Carolina the fourth seed.

Maryland and Duke face off in Friday evening’s second game at 8:30 p.m.

The finals are Sunday (April 21) at 3:00 p.m. The game will be televised live on Comcast SportsNet, Fox SportsSouth and Sunshine Network.
