The University of Virginia hosted its annual Lou Onesty/Milton Abramson meet today, Saturday April 12th in Charlottesville, Va. and both the men’s and women’s teams were victorious as the women scored 191 points while the men scored 148 points. University of Virginia’s Kiamesha Otey, Inhar Chong, Natalie Randolph, Eliese Mitchell, Vika Osipenko, Scott Kimball, Kellen Blassingame, Brian Kollar, and Greg Blair all took top honors in their events.
Otey took top honors in the 100m, 200m, and long jump with a seasonal best time of 11.57, 23.56, and distance of 6.21m respectively. Along with qualifying regionally, these times also land her first place in the ACC in these events. In the field events, Inhar Chong placed 1st in the discus with a distance of 42.86m while Eliese Mitchell took honors in the hammer throw with a seasonal best distance of 53.89m. Dawn Cleary’s seasonal best time of 4:25.55 in the 1500m scored her 4th place and regionally qualifying distinctions.
The women’s relay team finished first in the 4×100 with a time of 45.65.
On the men’s side, Scott Kimball finished first in the 100m and 200m seasonal best times of 10:53 and 21.31 respectively. Kellen Blassingame took honors in the 400 with a seasonal best time of 48.24, while Greg Blair placed first in the pole vault with a height of 15-06.00. Brian Kollar landed first place in the javelin throw with a distance of 65.75m.
The men’s relay team placed first in the 4×100 with a time of 41.90.
