Virginia Men's Soccer Ties Clemson 0-0, Cavs Advance in PK Shootout

CARY, N.C. – Clemson and Virginia played to a 0-0 tie after two overtime periods, but the Cavaliers advance to the semifinal round of the ACC Men’s Soccer Tournament after outscoring the Tigers in the penalty kick shootout, 3-1.
Clemson is now 9-7-3 overall, Virginia is now 8-9-1 this season. The Cavaliers are the number three seed in the tournament and Clemson was the sixth seed. Virginia will now advance to the ACC Semifinal to face the #2 seeded Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Friday, November 14th at 8:00 PM at the SAS Soccer Stadium.
The match is officially recorded as a tie.
