Las Vegas, Nev. – Virginia wrestlers Rocco Caponi and Drew DiPasquale turned in eighth-place finishes in their respective weight classes at the 25th Annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational today.

Caponi lost via major decision 13-4 to Missouri’s Raymond Jordan in the quarterfinals of the 184-pound weight class to drop into the consolation bracket. He later lost to Lior Zamir of Penn 6-2 in the seventh-place match.

DiPasquale lost a 5-0 decision to Aaron Martin from Tennessee-Chattanooga in the consolation round at 149. In the seventh-place match he suffered a 7-2 loss to Lance Palmer of Ohio State.
