CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s swimming and diving team continues competition with a dual meet against Navy Friday at the Aquatic and Fitness Center. Diving is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start with swimming events to begin at 2 p.m. Live results will be available on VirginiaSports.com.

A moment of silence in memory of former Cavalier Fran Crippen, an 11-time All-American and two-time ACC Swimmer of the Year, will be held prior to the start of the meet. Crippen passed away Oct. 23 while competing in an open water race in the United Arab Emirates.

The Cavaliers are 1-0 in dual meet competition this season, having recorded their first-ever win over Florida in the season-opener on Oct. 11. Virginia defeated the Gators 153-145.

Navy, meanwhile, is 3-0 in dual meet competition this season, with victories over George Mason (201-87), Loyola (159-133) and UMBC (158-131).

Because of construction near the Aquatic and Fitness Center, parking adjacent to the facility is limited and parking rules are being stringently enforced. Metered parking will be available at the Aquatic and Fitness Center. Please note your space number and pay the meter inside the facility.

Free parking will be available at Slaughter Recreation Center (a 5-10 minute walk) for spectators. A map of both the Aquatic and Fitness Center parking as well as the location of Slaughter Recreation Center in relation to the AFC can be found here.
