CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.
– The Virginia wrestling team will open the 2011 Virginia Duals at 11 a.m. Friday against Buffalo. The pairings for all six divisions of the Virginia Duals were announced Sunday. The tournament will be contested Friday and Saturday at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va.

Virginia is seeded sixth in the college tournament bracket. The 25th-ranked Cavaliers will face either No. 16 Michigan or Liberty at 3 p.m. Friday in their second dual of the tournament.

Bucknell, Wyoming, No. 12 Lehigh and UNC Greensboro also are on the Cavaliers’ side of the bracket. The other bracket consists of No. 7 Penn State, VMI, Old Dominion, Edinboro, No. 19 Arizona State, Chattanooga, Rider and No. 20 Kent State.

Penn State is the top seed in the event, followed by Lehigh, Michigan, Kent State, Arizona State, Virginia, Wyoming and Edinboro.

Virginia is 8-2 in duals this season, including wins over Kent State and Edinboro and a loss to Lehigh. UVa will be wrestling Buffalo for the first time in program history.
