Cavaliers Remain in 11th Place After 36 Holes at Hootie at Bulls Bay

Awendaw, SC – The 16th-ranked Virginia men’s golf team remained in 11th place following the second round of play at The Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in Awendaw, S.C. The Cavaliers shot 8-over 292 Monday for a two-day total of 18-over 586. Augusta State, the 2010 NCAA Champions, moved into first place at 563. Play was delayed by more than two hours due to weather conditions during the round.
Virginia was led Monday by Ben Kohles’ 2-under 69. He moved up to 22nd place at 2-over 144. Will Collins shot 3-over 74 and is in 39th place at 145. Cole Willcox carded a 1-over 72 and improved to 43rd at 148. Amory Davis and Ben Rusch both shot 77. Davis is in 56th place at 149 and Rusch is 74th at 158.
Mississippi’s Jon Randolph leads the field in stroke play at 5-under 137. He will take a one-shot lead into Tuesday’s final round. Live scoring of the tournament is online at Golfstat.com.
