CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—The Virginia volleyball team travels to Harrisonburg, Va., Tuesday night (Oct. 16) to take on James Madison at 7 p.m., for its final non-conference game of the season.

The Cavaliers battled two Tobacco Road teams this past weekend, falling to North Carolina, 3-2, on Friday (Oct. 12) and NC State, 3-1, on Saturday (Oct. 13).

Freshman Vivian Burcescu (Cordtlant Manor, N.Y.) hit .341 over both matches and hit 11 kills in each match. Junior Emily Rottman (Santa Barbara, Calif.) led the team with 41 digs through the two matches, averaging 4.56 digs per set.

James Madison is 10-10 on the season and 3-3 in the CAA after dropping a five-set match to Towson Sunday afternoon (Oct. 14). Danielle Erb and Natalie Abel lead the Dukes with 3.37 and 3.30 kills per set, respectively.

Virginia leads the all-time series, 21-15, including a four-set win on Aug. 30, 2008 in Harrisonburg.

Up next, the Cavaliers host Duke on Friday (Oct. 19) and Wake Forest on Saturday (Oct. 20). Both matches are set for a 7 p.m. start at Memorial Gymnasium.
