CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 16 Virginia women’s tennis team returns to action this weekend at No. 29 Ole Miss and No. 39 Memphis.

The Cavaliers battle the Rebels (2-3) on Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center at 1 p.m. ET. Virginia plays Memphis (5-2) on Sunday, Feb. 24 at The University Club at 11 a.m.

Virginia returns to action after dropping consecutive matches to No. 4 USC, No. 16 Michigan and No. 13 Texas A&M at the ITA National Indoor Championships in Charlottesville on Feb. 8-10.

“These two matches provide many great opportunities for our team,” Virginia head coach Mark Guilbeau said. “We will compete outdoors for the first time in the dual match season on Saturday against Ole Miss and then turn around and play indoors against Memphis on Sunday. It will test our ability to adjust and play smartly under different conditions, something every good team must do on many occasions throughout the season. Both matches are against quality teams and will clearly define the areas we have improved in our games since the National Indoors. I am confident the team will show incredible excitement to compete and a strong focus to play well. We are all looking forward to being back out there competing hard together.”
