CHARLOTTESVILLE – Four alumni of the Virginia men’s tennis program will represent their country this week during Davis Cup competition. Somdev Devvarman (Class of 2008) and Sanam Singh (Class of 2011) will represent India, Ted Angelinos (Class of 2008) will represent Greece and Treat Huey (Class of 2008) will represent the Philippines.

Devvarman and Singh are members of the Indian team that will play at South Korea in the second round of Asia/Oceania Group I. The winner of the match will advance to the World Group playoffs. India defeated Taiwan 5-0 earlier this year in the first round.

Angelinos will play for Greece as they host Bulgaria in a Europe/Africa Group II playoff. Greece suffered a 3-1 loss at Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first round.

Huey will lead the Philippines in a second round matchup with Pakistan in Asia/Oceania Group II. The Philippines won 3-1 at Sri Lanka in the first round.
