CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.–The No. 3 Virginia rowing team travels to Princeton, N.J., Saturday (April 5) to take on No. 7 Princeton and Columbia, with the first race being moved up to 9 a.m. due to high winds in the forecast. The Cavaliers will bring seven crews for the regatta, including four eights and three fours.
Last week, the UVa Varsity Eight was named the ACC Crew of the Week after defeating crews from No. 4 USC, No. 11 Stanford and No. 20 Oregon State at the Pac-12 Challenge March 29-30. The Cavaliers won 10 of 12 races total out in Redwood Shores, Calif.
Up next, the Cavaliers head to Ann Arbor, Mich., April 19 for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge to face No. 9 Michigan and second-ranked and defending national champion Ohio State.
