Two Volleyball Matches Selected for ACC Broadcasts

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.–Two Virginia volleyball matches will be broadcast live on ESPN3, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday (Aug. 12).

The Cavaliers’ matches at Virginia Tech on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m., and at ACC newcomer Louisville on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m., will be broadcast.

Virginia returns five starters from last season’s squad that finished 18-14 overall and 11-9 in ACC play. UVa’s season opener is Aug. 29 against Illinois-Chicago at 7:30 p.m. in the Marshall Thunder Invite in Huntington, W.Va. The 2014 Cavalier home slate features 12 home matches at Memorial Gymnasium, including the Cavalier Classic Sept. 5-6. Virginia’s home opener is against LIU Brooklyn on Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.
