#MILB2017

Thursday was 2017 Opening Day for Minor League Baseball teams across the country. #UVABase has 22 players currently assigned to minor league teams. At least two of them, Matt Thaiss (watch the video) and Derek Fisher (watch the video), celebrated Opening Day in style, by going yard. Sadly, Thaiss’ homer was not the game winner, though his Inland Empire 66ers did eventually win the game with an RBI walk in the bottom of the 16th inning.
