Athens, Ga. – Virginia sophomore Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.) begins play at the NCAA Regional in Athens, Ga., on Monday. She will tee off at 8:15 a.m. from the 10th tee at the University of Georgia Golf Course. The regional runs through Wednesday. Redding is the No. 6 seeded individual at the site.

The top-six teams from the regional and the low three individuals who are not members of those teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, which will be contested on May 19-24 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Hills, Ill., outside Chicago.

Redding leads UVA this season with a 74.63 stroke average.

Last season Redding finished 53rd at the NCAA Championships and helped the Cavaliers advance to the match play portion of the event. She shot 7-over 295 for 72 holes at the Eugene (Ore.) Country Club.
