CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia volleyball team released its 2017 spring schedule on Wednesday (March 8), highlighted by a home date with William & Mary.

Virginia will host William & Mary on Saturday, March 18, at Memorial Gymnasium. The Cavaliers and Tribe will play from 10:30 a.m. – noon before a break, then return for a second session of play from 1-2:30 p.m.

Both sessions will be open to fans. Following the second session, fans are encouraged to stay for a short question and answer period with first-year head coach Aaron Smith, as well as current student-athletes.

There will be Domino’s pizza for the first 100 fans in attendance following the second session as Smith and the team meet with fans. There will also be a chance to win two (2) season tickets for 2017 during the event.

Virginia will also compete in a multi-team tournament at the Coastal Volleyball Club in Virginia Beach, Va., on April 1, as well as at the Richmond Volleyball Club on April 8.

The Cavaliers return 10 players from the 2016 squad. Freshman Kiley Banker (West Lafayette, Ind.) led UVA with 86 total blocks and was fourth on the team with 152 kills. Freshman Kelsey Miller (Crestwood, Ky.) was second on the team with 243 digs and freshman Jennifer Wineholt (San Diego, Calif.) started at setter in 109 sets and tallied 1009 assists.
