Dusel Named ACC Diver of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Virginia junior Sydney Dusel (Naperville, Ill.) was named the ACC Diver of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday (Oct. 15).

The diver led the No. 10 Cavalier women’s team at the 25th annual SMU Classic over the weekend, tying as the meet’s diving point total winner after capturing the top score in the 3m dive and a second-place finish in the 1m dive. Dusel won the 3m board with a score of 319.55 and placed second on the 1m board with a score of 295.60.

Dusel recorded 29 points for the Cavaliers, helping to lead the women’s team to a third-place finish at the meet.

Dusel and the Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday as the team hosts Pittsburgh at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
