Hill Named ACC Swimmer of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia junior Morgan Hill (Olney, Md.) was named the female ACC Swimmer of the Week by the league office on Monday (Oct. 8).

Hill led the Cavaliers to a 178-112 win on Saturday in the program’s season opener against Penn State. She finished first in three individual events in addition to capturing first with the 400-yard freestyle relay team.

Hill was the top swimmer at the dual meet in the 50-yard freestyle (22.94), 100-yard freestyle (50.07) and 200-yard freestyle (1:48.49). She swam leadoff for the 400-yard freestyle relay team, helping her team record a time of 3:26.76 for first place.

In the opening weeks of competition, Hill ranks in the top five nationally and holds the top ACC time of all three events.

Hill and members of the Cavalier women’s team will compete this weekend at the SMU Classic (Oct. 12-13) in Dallas, Texas.
