CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia (15-7, 9-5 ACC) women’s tennis team earned the No. 6 seed at the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Championship at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C. The ACC Women’s Tennis Championships begin on Wednesday, April 25, and conclude with the championship match on Sunday, April 29.

The Cavaliers received a first-round bye in the event and will play for the first time at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26. Virginia will face the winner of Wednesday’s match between No. 11 seed Wake Forest and No. 14 seed Notre Dame. The Cavaliers defeated the Irish 6-1 on March 18 and posted a 5-2 win over the Demon Deacons in the regular-season finale on Sunday (April 22).

The winner of Thursday’s match will advance to face No. 3 seed North Carolina on Friday at 11:30 a.m.

Tickets for the ACC Women’s Tennis Championships are available online at TheACC.com. Single day passes are $9 for adults, and $7 for children and senior citizens. College students with ID will be admitted free of charge. Championship passes for the entire event are also available at $17 for adults, and $13 for children and senior citizens.
