CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Seven current and former members of the Virginia men’s tennis team will be playing in the doubles draw of the Charlottesville Men’s Pro Challenger, being held Oct. 28 through Nov. 3 at the Boar’s Head Sports Club.
 
Virginia men’s tennis senior Carl Soderlund (Stockholm, Sweden) and sophomore Brandon Nakashima (San Diego, Calif.), who are both also playing in the singles draw, will partner-up for the doubles tournament. Junior Matthew Lord (Bloomfield, Conn.) and sophomore Ryan Goetz (Greenlawn, N.Y.) also earned a wildcard into the doubles tournament and will be playing together as a team. Goetz and Lord will be facing former  Cavalier J.C. Aragone and his partner Hunter Reese in the first round. Aragone and Reese are the No. 3 seed in the tournament. Nakashima and Söderlund will play Martin Redlicki and Andreas Siljestrom in their opener.
 
The tournament will also see the return of two alumni who have both cracked the ATP top-25 rankings in their professional careers as doubles specialists. Dominic Inglot, who has been ranked as high as No. 18 in the world doubles ranking as well as helping to lead the 2015 British Davis Cup team on its championship run, will be partnering with Lloyd Glasspool. Treat Huey, who also has been ranked as high as No. 18, will partner with Jackson Withrow as the No. 2 seed in the tournament.
