CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –  Four members of the Virginia women’s swimming team will compete at the Toyota U.S. Open Championships at the Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center in Atlanta. Junior Paige Madden (Mobile, Ala.) and freshmen Kate Douglass (Pelham, N.Y.), Maddie Donohoe (Annandale, Va.) and Ella Nelson (Nashville, Tenn.) will race at the long course winter championship beginning on Wednesday (Dec. 4). The meet will conclude on Saturday (Dec. 7).

How To Follow
Prelims races will begin at 10 a.m., while finals will start at 7 p.m. The finals for the distance session on Wednesday will start at 6 p.m.

The prelims will be streamed on USAswimming.org as well as the B finals on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The A finals on Friday and Saturday will be broadcast on NBCsports.com. Hoos Ranked
• Among 2019 U.S. swimmers, Douglass ranks in the top 25 in four events, ranking 20th in the 100-meter butterfly (58.53), 21st in the 50-meter freestyle (25.23), 22nd in the 200-meter breaststroke (2:28.00) and 24th in the 200-meter individual medley (2:13.55).
• Madden holds the 10th-best time nationally in the 200-meter freestyle (1:57.84), while ranking 17th in the 400-meter freestyle (4:09.19) and 23rd in the 800-meter freestyle (8:37.37).
• Competing in the distance events, Donohoe ranks ninth in the 1500-meter freestyle (16:19.46) and 22nd in the 800-meter freestyle (8:37.01).
• Nelson ranks 23rd in the 200-meter breaststroke (2:28.04).

At The Meet
• The Cavalier swimmers enter the meet with six non-converted times seeded in the top 15 in an event.
• Madden enters the meet as the 10th seed in the 200-meter freestyle.
• In the 1500-meter freestyle, Donohoe enters as the 11th seed.
• Douglass is seeded 12th in the 200-meter individual medley, 13th in the 100-meter butterfly and 14th in the 200-meter breaststroke.
• Also competing in the 200-meter breaststroke, Nelson enters as the 15th seed in the event.
