• Three-time National and ACC Coach of the Year Tony Bennett has a 238-87 (.732) mark in 10 seasons at Virginia and 307-120 (.719) career mark in 13 seasons.
• Bennett became the 80th active Division I head coach to win his 300th career game against Marshall on Dec. 31, 2018.
• In 2017-18, Bennett led Virginia to its eighth ACC regular-season title, third ACC Tournament championship, school-record 31 wins, ACC-record 17 league wins and ACC-record 9-0 mark on the road.
• Bennett was named the USBWA Henry Iba National Coach of the Year for the third time to rank second all-time behind legendary John Wooden, who captured the award six times.
 
UVA Ranked No. 3 in AP Poll
• Virginia is ranked No. 3 for the second straight week in the AP poll.
• The Cavaliers have been ranked in the AP top six in 22 consecutive polls.
• UVA has been ranked in the AP for 28 straight polls and has been ranked in the top 10 in each of the past 24 polls.
• UVA was ranked No. 5 in the preseason polls and has been ranked in the top 10 in the preseason rankings in four of the past five seasons.
• In 2017-18, Virginia became the fourth team in the Top 25 era to earn a No. 1 ranking after being unranked in the preseason.
 
Last Time Out
• De’Andre Hunter scored 15 points as No. 3 Virginia held off No. 23 NC State 66-65 in overtime on Jan. 29 at PNC Arena.
• Ty Jerome added 13 points and Kyle Guy added 10 as the Hoos posted their seventh straight win vs. NC State.
• Guy broke a 61-61 tie with his first 3-pointer of the game in overtime and Hunter’s two free throws held up in the win.
• Hunter fouled NC State’s Markell Johnson on a 3-point attempt with .9 seconds left, but Johnson made 2 of 3 free throws and UVA escaped with its first overtime win since 2015 (63-62 vs. Cal).
• Mamadi Diakite matched his career high in blocked shots (4) for the second straight game.

All-Time vs. Miami
• UVA is 10-12 all-time vs. Miami in the series that began in 1965-66.
• The Cavaliers are 6-4 against the Hurricanes in Charlottesville, including a loss during the 2016-17 season.
• UVA defeated Miami 59-50 last season as 10 of the last 11 meetings between the teams have been decided by nine points or less.

Last Time vs. the Hurricanes
• Then-new No. 1 Virginia looked the part on Feb. 13, never trailing and holding Miami to 38 percent shooting to win 59-50.
• De’Andre Hunter scored 22 points, including a four-point play. But defense was the difference for the Cavaliers, who limited an opponent to 50 points or less for the 12th time.
• The Cavaliers won in their first game since 1982 as the No. 1 team. They bounced back from an overtime home loss on Feb. 10 to Virginia Tech that ended a 15-game winning streak.
• The Hurricanes lost their second in a row, and lost at home for only the second time.
• Kyle Guy scored 13 points for the Cavaliers, who shot 46 percent.

Five Cavalier Among ACC Leaders
• As of Jan. 31, Kyle Guy ranks first in the ACC in 3-pointers (2.9), third in 3-point percentage (45%), ninth in minutes (33.5) and 13th in scoring (14.8).
• Ty Jerome ranks third in assists (5.0) and assist-to-turnover ratio (3.1), seventh in 3-point percentage (40.6%) and 17th in minutes (31.7). 
• De’Andre Hunter ranks fourth in field goal percentage (53.3%) and 14th in scoring (14.7).
• Mamadi Diakite ranks 10th in blocked shots (1.3) and Braxton Key ranks 23rd in rebounding (5.8).
