Friday Play Halted at Cavalier Classic

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia softball team’s Friday (March 1) game against Buffalo was suspended due to inclement weather with the score tied 1-1 in the middle of the third inning. The game will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday (March 2) at The Park.
 
The final game of Friday’s Cavalier Classic schedule, featuring Virginia and Delaware, was also rained out. As a result, the schedule for the remainder of tournament has been modified.
 
Following the conclusion of the suspended game against Buffalo, UVA will return to action at 5 p.m. against Norfolk State. Virginia and Buffalo will play again at 7:30 p.m. The full updated schedule for the Cavalier Classic, including neutral site games is below.
 
SATURDAY
10 a.m. – Buffalo vs. Virginia (continuation from 3^rd inning)
Noon – Delaware vs. Buffalo
2:30 p.m. – Norfolk State vs. Delaware
5:00 p.m. – Norfolk State at Virginia
7:30 p.m. – Buffalo at Virginia
 
SUNDAY
10 a.m. – Delaware vs. Norfolk State
12:30  p.m.– Delaware at Virginia
3:00 p.m. – Norfolk at Virginia
