CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Junior Kyle Guy (Indianapolis, Ind.) and redshirt sophomore De’Andre Hunter (Philadelphia, Pa.) were named to The Associated Press All-America Third Team, announced on Tuesday (April 2).
 
Guy and Hunter also earned NABC All-America honors earlier this season.  
 
Guy leads the team in 3-pointers (114), free throw accuracy (81.8 percent) and scoring (15.2 ppg). He ranks first in the ACC in 3-pointers (3.2), third in 3-point percentage (42.7%), ninth in minutes (35.0) and 12th in scoring (15.2). He has nine 20-point efforts in 2018-19, including a career-high 30 points against Marshall and 29 against NC State in the ACC Tournament. Guy was an NABC All-America third-team selection in 2017-18.
 
Hunter, the NABC Defensive Player of the Year, spearheads UVA’s top-ranked defense that yields 55.4 points per game. He is averaging career highs in points (14.9) and rebounds (5.0). He ranks fourth in the ACC in field goal percentage (51.8%), seventh in free throw percentage (79.5%) and 13th in scoring (14.9). Hunter earned Battle 4 Atlantis MVP honors and ACC Player of the Week accolades after averaging 19.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in the tournament.
 
No. 1 seed Virginia will play No. 5 seed Auburn in the 2019 NCAA Tournament Final Four on Saturday, April 6 at 6:09 p.m. ET at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn.
