Hana Kerner, a four-year letter winner with the Virginia women’s soccer team who graduated this past weekend, has become the latest alum of the program to sign a pro contract with the NWSL when she signed with the Orlando Pride on Thursday. She is one of three players picked up by the squad as members of the league head overseas to compete with the United State in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She joins other recent signees Betsy Brandon (Houston) and Meghan Cox (Utah) to join NWSL rosters to bring the total number of UVA alums who have signed on with NWSL teams this season to 11 players.
