Head-To-Head

• The UVA women are 1-1 against the Bears. Virginia lost its opening match of the series 6-3 but rallied a season later to defeat Brown 6-3 during the 2019 CSA National Championships.

Home Sweet Home
• The Cavaliers remain undefeated at the McArthur Squash Center after the men went 2-0 over the weekend with wins against Vassar and No. 13 Western Ontario.
• The women’s team recorded their third home win on the season on Saturday, sweeping Vassar 9-0.
• Additionally, the men’s team recorded its seventh win of the season last weekend, topping Western Ontario 5-4. The back-and-forth battle with the Mustangs saw the two teams tied at 4-4 with freshman Teddy Durfee (Bedford, N.Y.) clinching the final point of the match, 3-1, to give the Cavaliers the victory.
• Both Virginia teams swept Vassar 9-0 on Saturday.

The Bears
• Brown will compete in a pair of mid-week matches as the men face No. 18 Navy and the women play No. 15 George Washington on Tuesday (Jan. 14).
• The men’s team is coming off a two-match slide, suffering back-to-back losses to No. 10 Columbia and No. 14 Cornell.
• Prior to the winter break, Brown opened the season with a 9-0 loss to Yale but rebounded with a 6-3 victory against MIT.
• The Brown women’s team is looking for its first victory after suffering losses to then-ranked No. 5 Yale, No. 8 Columbia and No. 9 Cornell.
