Charlottesville, Va. – The Virginia women’s golf team opens its spring schedule in a one-day event with Florida State on Sunday, Feb. 2. The two teams will play a mixed-format match play competition at Bay Point Golf Club in Panama City, Fla.
 
The first round will be played as Scotch Foursomes with three matches being contested. The afternoon play will feature six singles matches. Each match will be valued at one point with nine points at stake. The first team to five points clinches the win.
 
Participating for the Cavaliers will be senior Julia Ford (Shrewsbury, Mass.), junior Beth Lillie (Fullerton, Calif.), sophomores Haeley Wotnosky (Wake Forest, N.C.) and Riley Smyth (Cary, N.C.) and freshmen Virginia Bossi (Como, Italy) and Celeste Valinho (Jacksonville, Fla.).
