Quote from Todd DeSorbo
” (We) Had a great day, significantly better than this same day last year,” head coach Todd DeSorbo said. “Overall, we are more than 100 points ahead of our score from last year, which is the ultimate goal, to outdo ourselves. The women are having a great time, having fun, supporting each other and competing well. Our 500 (free) girls got the night started off rocking with a 1-3 finish, followed up by another 1-3 finish in the 200 IM with Kate Douglass smashing the ACC record and posting one of the fastest 200 IMs in NCAA history. The 50 (free) was a great battle with Morgan (Hill) having a clutch swim for second and then the follow up relay dominating.

“The divers had one of the best showings we’ve ever had on 3m with two females, Sydney (Dusel) and Jocelyn (Porter) making the championship final. The male divers are having one of the best showings we’ve had as a group here as well. The guys are well ahead of what they scored last year at ACCs and I’m excited to see them going off the platform next. This meet is coming together as an overall full team effort and it’s exciting to see. Still have a long way to go here, but we are off to a great start.”
