Schubert leads the team, qualifying for NCAAs in three events (200 IM, 400 IM and 200 Fly), while Barnum was invited to compete in two races (100 and 200 Breast). The Cavaliers qualified for four out of five relay events, earning an invite in the 200, 400 and 800-yard freestyle relays and 400-yard medley relay.

Virginia will look to build off a 10th-place finish at the national meet in 2019. The team finish was the best for the Cavaliers since the program placed eighth in 2011. The Cavaliers earned All-America honors with 11 performances which included six different swimmers and three relay teams.

The Virginia men’s diving team will look to add to UVA’s roster at the NCAA Championships as the team concludes the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships on Wednesday (March 11). Senior Bryce Shelton (Vienna, Va.) has already qualified for his fourth national meet on both springboards.
