2013– Moved to linebacker during August camp … did not appear in any games … was selected by the UVa coaches as the defensive scout team player of the week for the North Carolina game. 2012 – Appeared in two of UVa[apos]s 12 games … made collegiate debut against Richmond … also played against Louisiana Tech. 2011 – Redshirted … was selected by the UVa coaches as the scout player of the week for the Miami game.

A 2011 graduate of the Brunswick School … was a linebacker and fullback all four seasons … led team as a senior with 107 tackles which was a school record and tops in the Erickson League … all-state honoree by ESPN Rise … All-Erickson League, All-New England and winner of the Norman A. Peterson Award (team MVP) … was a scholar-athlete award winner by the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame Fairfield County Chapter … also lettered for two seasons in lacrosse … in 2010 was a National AP Scholar … member of the Brunswick School honor roll … member of Senior Prefect, the school[apos]s disciplinary committee … active in Big Brother and a tutor at the Boy[apos]s and Girls Club … was born in London, England … son of David and Annesley MacFarlane … has two younger brothers, William and Jamie.
