Career – Until his season-ending injury in 2013, of the 2,055 defensive plays Virginia had lined up for since the opening game of the 2011 season, Nicholson had played 1,981 of those plays, meaning since Sept. 3, 2011 he had played 96.39 percent of UVA’s defensive plays until he was injured late in the third quarter against Ball State.
