CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Season tickets for 2013-14 Virginia men’s basketball home games are on sale beginning Monday, July 29 at 9 a.m. Season tickets are available at four price levels and include a reserved seat to UVa’s 17 home men’s basketball games.
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced in April each school’s home and away opponents for the 2013-14 season. Virginia will host Boston College, Florida State, Maryland, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest at John Paul Jones Arena this season.
The Cavaliers host VCU in nonconference action and Wisconsin on Dec. 4 during the 15th ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
The ACC will release Virginia’s complete nonconference schedule and the dates and times of conference games in late August or early September.
“Last season our fans created a great atmosphere and home-court advantage at JPJ,” Virginia head coach Tony Bennettsaid. “We’re carrying that energy and momentum into this season as we welcome some very worthy opponents to Charlottesville. Our fans are such an important part of our team’s success and our players really look forward to playing in front of a packed house.”
Virginia returns its top five scorers, including All-ACC performers Joe Harris (Chelan, Wash.) and Akil Mitchell (Charlotte, N.C.), from last year’s squad that posted a 23-12 record, including a 20-2 mark at home. The Cavaliers led the ACC in scoring defense last season and increased the number of wins for the fourth consecutive season under Tony Bennett.
There are four available upper level price levels for season ticket holders: $168, $219, $347 and $444. Season tickets at these four price levels include savings of $105-$274 off the single-game ticket price. UVa faculty and staff may purchase up to four season tickets at an additional 20 percent discount.
All courtside seats and lower level seats cost $444 and require an annual contribution to the Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) and a gift to the John Paul Jones Arena project.
Men’s basketball season ticket holders receive numerous benefits for the 2013-14 season. All season ticket holders have the option to take advantage of a three-month payment plan (September 2013-November 2013). In addition, season ticket holders have the opportunity to purchase reserved parking and single-game tickets in advance of the public and will be eligible to receive signed merchandise and experiences through an attendance rewards program. Several pre-season events including a Meet the Team Day and open practice will be scheduled for October or early November, and season ticket holders will receive invitations to each of them.
The deadline for priority ordering is Sept. 6.
