CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Virginia rowing head coach Kevin Sauer announced the Cavaliers’ 2024 schedule on Wednesday (Dec. 13). The 13-time defending Atlantic Coast Conference champions will compete in five regattas beginning with the B1G/ACC Regatta on March 30.

“We have a very challenging schedule, racing many of the fastest teams in the country, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.” Sauer said.

Virginia hosts Duke (March 2) and Syracuse (March 16) in a pair of exhibitions before racing Ohio State and Michigan at the B1G/ACC Regatta on Saturday, March 30 at Griggs Reservoir in Columbus, Ohio.

The Cavaliers host California, Oregon State, Stanford, Syracuse and Yale at the UVA Invite on Lake Monticello on Saturday and Sunday, April 13-14.

UVA travels to Austin, Texas, for the Longhorn Invite on Saturday, April 27. Stanford and Ohio State join the Cavaliers and host Longhorns in the four-team field.

The ACC Rowing Championships will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 17-18 on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C. Virginia has won 22 of the 23 conference championships and has claimed 90 of the 100 events contested. The conference regatta features five events, including the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Third Varsity Eight, Varsity Four and Second Varsity Four.

The NCAA Championships will be held Friday-Sunday, May 31-June 2 on Harsha Lake in Bethel, Ohio. The Cavaliers placed 10th at the 2023 NCAA Championships.
