2019 Highlights Advanced to the semifinals of the Australian Open, becoming the first former college women’s tennis player to reach the semis of a Grand Slam. Collins came into the tournament without ever having won a match in a Grand Slam. In her run to the semis, the unseeded Collins upset No. 19 seed Caroline Garcia and 14-seed Julia Goerges before downing No. 2 Anjelique Kerber in straight sets in the Round of 16.
