Birdwood Golf Course
Birdwood Golf Course at the University of Virginia is owned and operated by The Boar’s Head Inn. Designed by Lindsay Ervin and opened in 1984, Birdwood is an 18-hole, par 72 course with 6,865 yards of breath taking playing terrain. It also offers practice greens and a 3-tiered driving range. Golf Digest ranks it as one of the top-10 collegiate courses in American and Washington Golf Monthly rated the course as one of the Mid-Atlantic’s top 100 courses.
Birdwood Golf Course – Ivy Road
From the East or West: I-64 to exit 118B (Culpeper-Charlottesville). Take second exit (sign will say University of Virginia Information Center and Business 250 East) and turn left onto Ivy Rd. Go through one stoplight and take second left onto Golf Course Drive.
From the North: Take Route 29 south into Charlottesville (Emmet St.). Turn right at Ivy Rd. Take Ivy about less than a mile then turn left onto Golf Course Dr.
From the South: Take Route 29 to Business Route 250 East (sign will say University of Virginia Information Center) and turn right onto Ivy Rd. Go through one stop light and take second left onto Golf Course Drive.
