Owning the longest tenure within the program, Chuck Miller enters his thirteenth season as an assistant cross country and track and field coach at UVa. His areas of responsibility include the organization of home meets, officials and coordination of the “Friends of Track” alumni relations. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Miller also assists with UVa’s distance runners. He is a native of Winchester, Va. and ran track at UVa. He is a former track coach at Western Albemarle High School, where he coached Cavalier standout Nate Finch. He also coached at Nelson County High School.
Miller is a 1977 graduate of the University of Virginia (English) and later earned a master’s degree from UVa (English) in 1984. Miller lives in Crozet, Va. with his wife Vicki. The couple have two children: son Jeff, 19, and daughter Jennie, 14.
