Virginia to Play Minnesota in ACC/Big Ten Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia men’s basketball team will play the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn., on November 30, 1999, as part of the inaugural ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The game is scheduled to be televised by ESPN2.
The ACC/Big Ten Challenge is scheduled for November 30 and December 1, and will match nine teams from each conference.
Other games scheduled for November 30 include Wisconsin at Wake Forest, Iowa at Maryland and Duke against Illinois at the United Center in Chicago, Ill.
Games scheduled for December 1 include Michigan against Georgia Tech in the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Ga., North Carolina State at Purdue, Michigan State at North Carolina, Florida State at Northwestern and Clemson at Penn State. The Clemson-Penn State game could move to November 30.
