GREENSBORO, N.C. – University of Virginia women’s swimmer Mirjana Bosevska (Skopje, Macedonia/Trinity Prep) has been selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week. Bosevska, who earns her first-ever ACC Swimmer of the Week award, turned in outstanding performances in winning four events in two meets against nationally ranked teams at Rice this past weekend.

At the Continental Airlines Classic at Rice on Friday, November 9, Bosevska won the 500 and 1000 freestyles in leading the 12th-ranked Cavaliers to a second-place finish with 195 points. She set the meet and pool records in winning the 1000 free with a time of 9:53.75, and also won the 500 free in 4:54.41. In the Rice Invitational on Saturday, November 10, Bosevska won the 200 individual medley and the 200 butterfly. She registered a time of 2:04.48 in winning the 200 I.M. and clocked a time of 2:04.29 in taking the top spot in the 200 fly.

The Virginia women’s and men’s swimming and diving teams return to action on Sunday, November 18 when they host Penn State at the UVa Aquatic and Fitness Center. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
