CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia athletic ticket office has announced tickets are not available for Virginia’s men’s basketball game with Virginia Military Institute (VMI) at University Hall on January 24 or any other UVa home games during the 2001-02 regular season. Tickets put on sale to the public for the VMI game are sold out.

In addition to the VMI game, Virginia has seven Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) home games remaining during the regular season. The ticket office previously announced there would not be a public sale of tickets for the Wake Forest (Jan. 15), Florida State (Jan. 20) and Maryland (Jan. 31) games due to the return of UVa students for the spring semester and their expected ticket demand. For the same reason, there will be no public sale of tickets for the Cavaliers’ home games with Clemson (Feb. 10), North Carolina (Feb. 12), Georgia Tech (Feb. 23) and Duke (Feb. 28).

Ticket holders for the men’s basketball team’s game with Florida State are reminded the game will be played on Sunday (Jan. 20) at 4:00 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for January 19.

Additional information can be obtained by calling the Virginia athletic ticket office at 800/542-8821 or 434/924-8821.
