Charlottesville, Va. ? The UVa men’s tennis team will compete in its first home match of the season, as they host Navy at 6 p.m. at the Boar’s Head Inn Tennis Center. The Cavaliers beat Navy earlier this year, on Sept. 21 at the Navy Classic in Annapolis, Md., by a score of 6-5.

The Cavaliers are currently 5-1 overall on the year, 1-1 in the spring season. They are coming off a strong 6-1 victory at George Washington on Feb. 9.

Jason Romesburg holds the team lead in victories, and has an overall record of 8-5. Three players each have seven victories (Jay Curtis, Michael Duquette and Stephen Nolen). Curtis is an impressive 7-1 and leads the team in winning percentage.

Following this weekend’s match with Navy, they travel to Norfolk, Va., to compete in the Fabulous Four Round Robin Tournament. After that, seven consecutive home matches at the Sheridan Snyder Tennis Center.
