WASHINGTON – The UVa Men’s Tennis team fell to American University this afternoon by a final score of 5-2. The Cavaliers are 9-9 in the season.

Stephen Nolen and Jonathan Chou picked up wins in singles for the Cavaliers. Nolen is tied for the team lead in wins. He defeated Tushar Garg at No. 3 singles, by a score of 6-3, 6-7, 6-3. Jonathan Chou also posted a win for the Cavaliers, defeating Kyle Bailey by a score of 7-5, 7-6.

In doubles, Michael Duquette and Stephen Nolen, defeated Fliegelman and Taralle, 8-4, at No. 1 doubles.

NOTE – The Cavaliers return home on April 6 when they host N.C. State at 1 p.m, part of a big UVa men’s tennis alumni reunion. An alumni match will follow. Anyone, including non-UVa tennis alumni, interested in competing in the alumni match is welcome to show up at the Sheridan Snyder Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon and sign up.
