CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Three members of the University of Virginia men’s tennis team continued play Friday at the ITA Mideast Regional hosted by University of North Carolina and Duke University. Treat Huey (Alexandria, Va.) advanced in singles as did the team of Huey and Lee Singer (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) in doubles.

On Friday, Huey, the No. 6 seed, won a pair of matches to reach the round of 16. He topped Seo-Jao Chang of Hampton and Or Dekel of College of Charloeston. Marko Miklo (Bratislava, Sloakia) won his first match, defeating Kavi Sud of William & Mary, but lost later in the day to Pedro Campos of South Carolina.

In doubles, the team of Huey and Singer, seeded No. 10, defeated No. 7 seeded Mariusz Adamski and Andrew Hamar of Wake Forest, to reach the quarterfinals.

Play continues through Sunday.
