TULSA, Okla. The Virginia team of Somdev Devvarman (Chennai, India) and Treat Huey (Alexandria, Va.) reached the championship match in the doubles draw of the ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa. On Sunday, the duo will look to become the first ACC team to win the doubles title at the prestigious tournament.

In the semifinals on Saturday, the No. 1 ranked duo downed No. 40 ranked Andy Connelly and Ross Cunningham of Tulsa. The Virginia team topped the hometown favorites 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. They will meet No. 20 Jonas Berg and Erling Tveit of Mississippi in the final on Sunday.

Both Devvarman and Huey were upset in the singles draw on Saturday. Devvarman, the reigning NCAA Champion, defeated Jack Baker of South Alabama 6-4, 6-0 in the morning, but lost to No. 4 Travis Helgeson of Georgia 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 in the semifinals. The loss snapped Devvarman’s school record 24-match winning streak, dating back to last season. Huey lost to Robert Farah of USC 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 in the quarterfinals.

The doubles championship match is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT on Sunday.
