TULSA, Okla. The Virginia team of Somdev Devvarman (Chennai, India) and Treat Huey (Alexandria, Va.) won the doubles title at the ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa. The duo became the first ACC team to win the doubles title at the prestigious tournament.

“They have played together for a long time and deserve to have this level of success,” said head coach Brian Boland. “We are proud of their success and we look to them to continue to develop and be tremendous leaders for our team as the season progresses.”

Huey and Devvarman, the preseason No. 1 in the ITA doubles rankings and the No. 1 seed in the draw, won the final over No. 20 ranked Jonas Berg and Erling Tveit of Mississippi. The Cavalier team scored a 6-2, 7-5 win in the championship match.
