CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s and women’s lacrosse teams have six of their incoming recruits named to the Under Armour and Corrigan Sports Enterprises prestigious All-America lacrosse rosters, announced this week. Men’s head coach Dom Starsia signed three All-Americans, while women’s head coach Julie Myers also signed three.

For the men, Virginia will be represented evenly on the north and south teams. Midfielder Mark Cockerton (Oshawa, Canada/Paul Dwyer) is the brother of current UVa freshman attackman, Matt Cockerton, and is the first Canadian ever named to the prestigious team. Rob Emery (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius Prep) joins Cockerton on the Boy’s North team. Defenseman Scott McWilliams (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes) is the lone UVa recruit representing the Boy’s South team.

For the women, Ashlee Warner (Corning, N.Y./Corning East) will pay defense on the Girls’ North team, while Meghan Helm (Ellicott City, Md./Notre Dame Prep) will play defense on the Girls’ South team. At midfield, Liz Blue (Butler, Md./Garrison Forest) will represent the Girls’ South team, rounding out the UVa recruits.

The fifth annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic will take place on Saturday, July 3 at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md.

Throughout the weekend, there will be top-notch lacrosse games and events with the All-America Boys showcase live on ESPNU at 8 p.m. The girls game will face-off at 5:30 p.m. on July 3.
